Artist Statement:
To create a space that is both solid and warm, I worked by letting soft tones of yellow seep between layers of white. By varying the strength and speed of each line, I formed a landscape in which no single line shares the same character. Rather than feeling that I was drawing, the process unfolded as if I were receiving something and transferring it directly onto the canvas. It flowed like water, and in the final moment, the work became something with no resistance left within me.
Some lines rush far ahead, some sway with a lively rhythm, some pause without intention, while others drift gently along a light breeze. These diverse groups of lines move together, forming a collective flow, each taking part in dividing and inhabiting the wide, open space in its own way.
