They Pass

Artist statement:

This work is a landscape formed by a fleeting encounter—where things that are dissolving into space and those that tightly divide it are briefly crossed by a flexible, passing line. Though they belong to entirely different kinds of groups, they do not collide or contend; they simply move past one another within their own currents.

The yellow light both defines the physical distance between them and, at the same time, poetically connects the spaces in between. Temporality plays a central role in all of my work, and here as well, the piece does not capture a fixed, eternal moment, but instead suggests a landscape of lines that arises within passing time.
