This reproduction is based on an original artwork created in 2011, faithfully reimagined as a special edition produced and signed by the artist in 2026. The original piece, executed in acrylic, indian ink, colored pencil and graphite on canvas, is presented here as a high-quality print on panel, preserving the integrity and detail of the artist’s hand. Measuring 12 × 12 inches, the edition is finished in a white oak frame, offering a clean and timeless presentation. No artificial intelligence (AI) was used in the creation of this work.
Artist Statement:
The solid expanse of negative space in this work is formed by layering countless layers of white over a black ground. Like accumulated snow that gradually compresses over time into a dense, solid mass. From this filled white void, red lines emerge slowly, as if carrying life like veins, twisting and entwining around one another. Alongside them, sharp black lines weave forms distinct from the red, lifting the entire composition upward.
These different currents do not collide, but coexist in tension, gradually forming a single scene guided by an unseen order. If the red lines reveal the inner pulse of life, the black lines sustain the structure and direction that surround it. Within the densely condensed void and the continuously proliferating lines, there is a sense of restless anticipation that aspires to carry us far away, to a higher place.
